Our function Areas:

The hotel has 2 function areas, these areas are know as:

(1) The Main function room (suitable for large groups)

(2) The Oar house (suitable for smaller groups)

(1) The main function room is located on the 1st level of the hotel (access via 25 stairs) this air conditioned area has the ability to be booked as a completley private function room. Facilites: 2 pool tables, 2 flat screen's (all media types compatible) PA system with video jukebox, male and female restrooms, smoking area, dance floor area, disco and stage lighting, fully stocked bar with 6 draught beers. This area is suitable for groups of 50-200 people.This area is suitable for children under strict adult supervision.

(2) The Oar House is located on the ground floor of the hotel and is suitable for disabled access, this area is located between the dining room and the beer garden it contains seating for up to 50 people (38 indoor and 12 in the beer garden) the Oar house has 1 flat screen tv capable of all media displays. There are in house speakers in this area and the music volume can be adjusted as requested. This area is suitable for children under strict adult supervision. Bar service is from the hotels restaurant bar.

Costing:

(1) Main function room, $200 refundable deposit. Minimum spend on bar of $1000 not including food/entertainment or deposit is required. In the event of not reaching $1000 the $200 deposit is forfeited to cover the costs of staffing and security etc.

(2) The Oar house, $100 refundable deposit. There is no minimum spend in this area the deposit is simply to reserve this area for you and will be refunded on the day/night.

Past Functions

Work parties, Birthdays (no 18ths), Bucks parties, send offs, baby showers, book launches, YOU NAME IT!

Bucks Nights / Hens Nights:

An idea for your friend or family's big day!

 

We call it the ?Hound In Hand?:

 

Arrive at the hotel mid Saturday afternoon enjoy an afternoon on the Punt in the main bar with your friend?s and our locals or go upstairs to our private function room and enjoy a game of Pool and Foozball in the company of our female or male wait staff,

At 5 - 6pm you can enjoy an early dinner in the Fork In Hand Restaurant.

Then it's a quick 5 min stroll (down hill) to Wentworth Park Dog Track for a night at the track!! or a 15min walk to the city or Darling Harbour, we can also organize a bus to take you around your chosen venues.

Closing Times

The hotel closes at 12 midnight Monday to Saturday and 10 PM Sunday. all function guests and hotel patrons must vacate licensed premises within 15 mins after closing.

CATERING SUGGESTIONS:

The hotel has on premises the Fork In Hand Family Restaurant, which serves a delicious range of hotel style food. The restaurant is located on the ground floor and has disabled access.

The restaurant can be contacted for small functions for 30 people or under.

 

The restaurant is open 7 days a week 12 noon to 3 pm and 6pm to 9:30pm

1 Choice from the Ocean Platters (exc Fresh King Prawns and Oysters)

2 Choices from the Oven Platters

When booking your function please give us at least 2 weeks advance notice to organize your catering.

All bookings for catering should be directed to our Function Manager Vivviene O' Toole

 

Vivviene is at the hotel Tuesday to Saturday 12 noon to 5pm.
